Jenny Modesitt is an award winning children’s photographer whose photos have appeared in several photography publications. Her photos are vivid and beautiful and we wanted to re-invent her website to create a multi-platform digital experience that matched the sophistication of her photos.
Our primary goal was to create a beautiful digital experience on every device. We developed the site using responsive design techniques which provides the ability for the design to change based on the device and the size of the screen you are viewing it on. Large imagery on every page and a minimal interface keep the focus on the photography. The gallery page is meant to be explored so we presented a flowing page of touchable thumbnails that showcase each photo individually against a clean white background.
Next, we wanted to expand the digital experience from a single viewer to an audience. Using the Google Chrome Cast we were able to expand the experience from a single mobile device, laptop or desktop computer to a large screen TV. Photos were then featured on the large TV synchronized to web browsing on the mobile device creating a social second-screen experience.
With the proliferation of screens being connected to the internet (mobile, desktop, TVs, outdoor advertising screens, etc.), digital experiences are no longer confined to a single device. Advancements in interactive design utilizing multiple screens in different scenarios is rapidly accelerating and we’re excited to present immersive multi-screen solutions to our clients.
